I fell in love with photography whilst studying Textiles at University in Manchester, England. I loved photographing architecture while
travelling which became the inspiration for my final year Textiles work.
It was at University that I learnt how to use Photoshop & Lightroom and how to present my work in a clear and organised manner. It's also where I learnt about colours, compositions, art history, textures, the rule of thirds, framing and other concepts that help me in photography now.
I met my French husband, during my gap year between 2nd and 3rd year, in Sydney, Australia. We continued our relationship in Europe and throughout our final year of University.
Once we had finished our degrees, we moved to Paris for a year so that I could learn French.
After our year in Paris and several years in Provence, I decided to take my photography a little more seriously. In 2015, I married my Frenchie in a beautiful old castle in the heart of Provence in front of close family and friends.
Later on that year, both of my brother's married their wives and I photographed both weddings. I had done very little professional photography before then, so their trust in me was incredible.
In early 2016, I set up Provence Photography and learnt as much as I could about the world of photography and how to make it my career. I took several online courses, watched countless YouTube videos and practiced endlessly. In 2016, I was working full time so didn't have much free time for photography. I would practice whenever I could and do little jobs here and there, photographing couples, families and babies.
I continued to work in 2017 until something serious happened in my personal life and I was off work for 8 months. During this time, I created my travel blog and redesigned my photography website from scratch. I decided that I never wanted to work a sh*t job again and that photography was my passion.
I spent lots of money, time and energy learning as much as I could about photography so that for the next chapter of my life, I could start a fresh and do something that I really loved. Then in December 2017, we moved to Miami, Florida.
Since moving to Miami, I have photographed models, actors, influencers. couples, proposals, weddings, maternity, newborns, families, friends and bachelorette parties. I have learnt a huge amount about running a business, how to find clients and I have perfected my photography even more.
I am now at a stage where I feel very confident with my photography skills, work ethic, professionalism, creative ideas and my want to do an amazing and memorable job for each and every one of my clients.I am not just your photographer. I am also your assistant, stylist, creative director and editor. I help with hair & make up, clothing choices, venue options, planning, preparing and everything in between.
